Timed perfectly with the announcement of the cast for Season 14 of Drag Race, the premiere of her festive film The Bitch Who Stole Christmas and the debut of Ru-produced singing competition Queen of the Universe, RuPaul also throws some new music into the mix. The drag superstar had previously announced her January 7th scheduled LP MAMARU and now releases new track Catwalk from the upcoming ten track set.
Catwalk follows Just What They Want and Blame It On the Edit which have already been given the pre-release treatment. The track is a collaboration between Ru and producer Fredrick Mināno AKA Skeltal KI and sees Ru purr “Catwalk everywhere you go today, as if the world is your runway,” against slinky electronic beats. Like Ru’s best tracks, Catwalk is bolstered by an empowering message because after all if “If you can’t love yourself, how in the hell are you gonna love somebody else?”
The track will be joined by nine others on the upcoming thirty-minute LP, including:
- Just What They Want
- Catwalk
- Smile
- Fascination
- Blame It On the Edit
- Who Is She
- Pretty Pretty Gang Gang
- Mother of the House
- Catwalk (Reprise)
- Queendom
