There’s something quite comforting about having The Wanted back in our lives. Their brash male-fronted club-friendly pop with big choruses is something that has been lacking from the music world and their recently released Most Wanted: Greatest Hits album has only reasserted that.
The pop fivesome released three albums in their heyday between 2010 and 2013 before branching off onto solo careers – none of which would eclipse their success as a group. The recently released collection Most Wanted: The Greatest Hits also features two new songs Colours and Rule the World. The former is a co-write between the band’s Nathan and David Sneddon, whilst the latter is penned by Lauv, Jakob Hazell, Max, Michael Pollack & Svante Halldin. The new tracks are accompanied by hits including All Time Low, Chasing the Sun and Walks Like Rihanna.
It’s a welcome return hearing The Wanted and a slightly more mature sound from the band which doesn’t lose any of the flavour of their earlier material. Hopefully this marks the permanent return of the band with Tom’s recent health concerns looking more stable. Long may their reign continue!
