Alfie Arcuri assembles an elite team of LGBTQ+ talents to craft his latest single Devil’s Lips. The high-octane, emotionally-charged synth driven pop anthem is accompanied by an impressive video which pays homage to queer iconography of the eighties and nineties.
Alfie croons “I kissed the devil’s lips, Now my heart’s on fire, I never knew that you’d become, My one desire,” against euphoric synths, whilst his vocals capture the sense of longing and sexual tension in the track. Alfie shares: “The video concept for ‘Devil’s Lips’ draws inspiration from the great iconic gay photographers of the eighties and nineties, the tongue-and-cheek visual extravaganza was a true labour of love – comprising of an entire cast and crew of the LGBTIQ + community, each lending their talents to the epic production.”
The handsome musical talent continues: “Everyone on the set donated their time and talent – it was an amazing feeling on the day and a beautiful reminder of the community coming together for the love of our craft and why we do what we do! We wanted to create a really fun visual and draw inspiration from the past to create a colourful landscape of hope and passion in this current climate”.
Devil’s Lips joins Alfie’s growing and undeniable impressive discography which also includes fellow 2021 delight Handsome Man – a track that was shortlisted for Vanda and Young Global Songwriting Contest 2021 and won Best Ballad at the Berlin Song Week Conference.
