Benjamin Ingrosso has made an impressive career out of releasing a mix of English language and Swedish music. The singer recently celebrated the release of his En gång i tiden albums and has also dropped English language singles I Found You and Smile this year. The handsome Scandinavian Eurovision star returns with another English language anthem in Not Anybody’s Fault.
The single was written by Benjamin alongside Britt Burton and Hampus Lindvall with mellow electronic production also from Hampus. It sees the performer sing “We were good / We were bad / We gave everything we had / But shit happens / It’s not anybody’s fault,” recounting a relationship which has gradually gone downhill against subtle R&B grooves and with Benjamin’s expected emotional delivery.
The track was due to feature on an upcoming English LP from Benjamin, he shared: “This release is a special thanks to everyone out there who has supported me and my music since day 1. Before I decided to release music in Swedish I had a full album in English ready, this song was one of my favorites on it. I played it at the last tour I had almost 2 years ago before COVID made live shows impossible. Since then some of you guys have been asking for it and about 2 months ago you started a little social media campaign, challenging me and the record label to release it this specific date, of course we want to do anything to make you guys happy so here it is!!! Thanks for listening! Hope you like it!”
