Sophie Monk returns to the world of music with her latest single Nice to Meet You. The single takes a slightly different sound from the Australian talent’s previous releases, veering away from the dancepop vibes of former girlgroup Bardot output and Sophie’s previous solo music heard in her album Calendar Girl. It’s an unexpected departure, but a skilfully crafted one that Sophie sells with an elegant cool and sophisticated charisma.
The Love Island Australia host and former Popstars contestant favourite shared: “It’s called “nice to meet you” it’s about how I didn’t know who I was until recently. I’m a bit of a people pleaser. Anyway sending so much love through these crazy times.”
Written by Brad Pinto, Gary Pinto, Thomas Tan and Sophie, the track also features production from Gary Pinto and Justin Stanley. Nice to Meet You delivers classic contemporary neo-soul and jazz voice as Sophie elegantly reintroduces herself to the musical world.
