Charli XCX begins a new musical era with her latest single Good Ones. The electronic pop banger produced by Oscar Holter is accompanied by a highly-charged funeral set video. Charli shared: “The first single of my new chapter embraces all that my life has to offer in today’s world—fame, glamour, inner demons, and global hits.”
The singer co-writes with Caroline Ailin, Mattias Larsson, Noonie Bao, Oscar Holter and Robin Fredriksson, singing in the track’s pre-chorus: “I want the bad ones, ‘causе they’re all I know / I always let thе good ones go…” against thumping electronic production.
Good Ones is accompanied by a video directed by Hannah Lux Davis, with the production taking place in Mexico. The singer shared: “The ‘Good Ones’ video sees me dramatically mourning the untimely loss of my partner as I battle with the realisation that once again I’ve abandoned the goodness in my life, in favour of the sinister.”
The singer also recently featured on Lady Gaga’s freshly released Dawn of Chromatica remix album on a new version of 911.
