Norwegian singer AURORA encourages us to be unapologetically human on her new single Cure For Me. The slinky self-confident synth-heavy pop track is thought to mark the first official taste of the twenty-five year old’s third studio album.
The singer shares: “Sometimes I feel like the whole world Is trying to convince you something is wrong with you. And sadly often people believe this to be true. It is very frightening how easy it is for someone to convince you that you are wrong. Or that you are overly emotional, too strange, and not good enough. And I think it’s about time we shut those voices out. Because in no way should anyone convince you that you are not worthy because of the way you look, act, your faith, or the way you are born to love. We should be allowed to be human. And we don’t need a cure for it.”
Fans on social media have been quick to point out some similarities with another Norwegian pop ditty, Eurovision victor Alexander Rybak’s second stab at the contest, That’s How You Write a Song. Have a listen and see what you think.
