Bastian Baker delights with his latest single Jackpot, his first track since 2020’s Dancing Without You. The melodic pop track asserts Bastian’s textured vocals against bustling, joyous guitar production, as the singer draws inspiration from his nation of Switzerland for the release.
The singer noted in a statement on his Instagram: “I wrote Jackpot on my terrace in Lutry, near Lausanne. That day, there was a magical late summer atmosphere. The sky was azure blue and the vines around me were beginning to take on this special color that the warm, golden light of late afternoon in August took on them. The sound of the steeple in the distance, the light breeze in my neck, the same wind that makes the trees tremble, the singing of birds, the vines stretching as far as the eye can see, the majestic lake are so many elements that make me feel have once again helped me realize the luck of my destiny, the luck of this strange lottery that gave birth to me in Switzerland.”
Jackpot is hoped to be a taste of Bastian’s next studio album. The track sees him working with producer Joris Amann. Bastian self-writes the track.
