The Drag Race family continues to grow with successful entities in Thailand, The Netherlands, Canada and the UK – not to mention the home of the series, the USA. Now Australia and New Zealand are welcomed to the party with their own RuPaul-fronted version of the ever popular World of Wonder Production.
RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under will debut on May 1st – arriving just as the US series’ near never-ending thirteenth season actually comes to a close. Joining RuPaul is Michelle Visage and new permanent judge Aussie comic Rhys Nicholson – if you’re outside Australia and NZ and would like an introduction to Rhys’ comedy, check out his Netflix special Live at the Athenaeum.
Check out the trailer above to get a taste of the upcoming first batch of Aussie and NZ queens including Art Simone, Karen From Finance, Etcetera Etcetera, and Elektra Shock.
Drag Race Down Under launches on the WOW Presents app in the US, Stan (AU) and TVNZ OnDemand (NZ). Details on UK airing are yet to be announced.
