HVNTER has had a productive 2020 collaborating with fellow emerging pop talent Dead Method on tracks Mind Games and Uncool. He now returns with his first solo release in some time, the impressive dark electronic pop anthem Drink To Forget, a track which explores feelings of losing yourself in high-octane distractions as a means of overcoming heartbreak.
The singer notes “‘Drink To Forget’ is about the denial phase following a break up. Going out every single night, just to drink and dance away your problems, but not wanting to confront them.” With pulsating electronic beats and sultry vocal delivery from HVNTER that track gradually builds the musical tension and pop theatrics, building to an elegant beat drop at the forty second mark. Drink To Forget slides into the groove as a slinky electronic club banger that evokes potent imagery of a woozy, alcohol fuelled night out.
Prior to the most recent lockdown, HVNTER trialled some new tracks at Welsh venue Clwb Ifor Bach with the crowd immediately responding to the high-energy electro future classic. The track is set to be the first slice of more new music from HVNTER in 2021.
