Daníel Óliver announces the start of a new musical chapter with the release of his euphoric new single Feels Like Home. The handsome Icelandic artist who fans will know from music contest Söngvakeppnin has been releasing music since 2011’s Superficial but is now gearing up for the release of his debut album.
Inspired by classic feel-good eighties synthpop, Feels Like Home is glossy, impeccable pop music. The track is written by Daniel alongside Karl Batterbee and Von Arbin, with production from Von Arbin. The track is set to feature on Daniel’s debut album which has been crafted in Stockholm over the past six months. These tracks are said to be “inspired by relationships, and count as both his most pop-orientated output to date, as well as his most personal.”
The statement adds: “As an artist, Daniel believes in the importance of presenting a message in his music, without compromising on the feel-good factor that all pop fans turn to the genre for… he promises to deliver a plethora of hooks, riffs, melodies, beats and synths to be enjoyed too.”
We are delighted than Daniel is pressing on full steam ahead with his upcoming album and if Feels Like Home is an indication of its sound, then it will be one of our most anticipated LPs of the year.
