Tennessee based singer-songwriter Jacob Whitesides delivers afraid to die, his stripped back emotive new single.
“I say that I’m doing fine, And there’s some truth behind the lie, I think the feelings too hard to define, So I’m terrified…” Jacob sings on the single which he writes. David Spencer produces and crafts a subtle electronic melody which heightens the natural conviction in Jacob’s vocal tone. The track appears to be centred on coping with the demons of mental health and the façade that many of us put on to push through this, despite our fears.
Jacob has been building an impressive discography for himself over the years with five singles including Demons and Hold Me Down released throughout 2020. He has released three albums, most recently 2019’s Colors.
