Swedish rising musical talent Amadeus Sögaard returns with his second single, picking up after his January debut Exhibition. The new song, Lie To Me, is a moody slice of atmospheric Scandinavian pop that continues to assert AMADEUS as a star to watch.
With an infectious chorus AMADEUS croons “Lie to me, because I’m not ready to hear the truth” against dramatic electronic production. Lines such as “I heard the truth would set me free, that’s what the pastor said to me, but I don’t wanna hurt, I’m afraid that you’ll just put me in the dirt,” showcase a lyrical depth and sense of autobiographical storytelling. The track is written by Albin Tengblad and AMADEUS and produced by Tengblad.
AMADEUS is one of Swedish football’s top talents, playing for club IF Brommapojkarna, but he continues to reveal impressive musical skills in his releases.
