Natalia Gordienko has completely floored us with Sugar – the Moldovan entry for Eurovision 2021. The singer collaborates with composers Dimitris Kontopoulos and Phillipp Kirkorov on the track which is written by Mikhail Gutseriev and Sharon Vaughn.
“Come over, come over, I’m over doing without you, Come over, come over, Hey lover, give me some sugar…” Natalia sings against anthemic production filled with crunching synths and addictive rhythms. This musical energy is matched by a vibrant bright purple video where Natalia is joined by several handsome backing dancers for a wonderfully intense dance routine. This is directed by Katya Tsarik.
The singer was due to represent Moldova with Prison but unfortunately that was not to be. We’re thankful that Natalia has returned to the contest with a huge bop – one that we believe is one of the best of the announced tracks so far. Should we be preparing for Chișinău 2022?
