Don’t you just love it when two queens of the country genre join forces? Well Miranda Lambert and Elle King have done exactly that with their duet Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home) written by both ladies and produced by Martin Johnson and Brandon Paddock.
Starting with fiery percussion and Elle’s distinctive vocals, Miranda soon joins as production ramps up. There’s an infectious chorus as the ladies croon “So bartender, take my keys, What do you want from me, Baby I’m drunk and I don’t wanna go home” against the multi-instrumental production. This is a soaring, grandiose feel good anthem that showcases both singers at the top of their game on this raucous country release.
Elle’s most recent single was 2020’s Another You, whilst Miranda’s most recent release was a number of acoustic spins on her tracks from 2019 album Wildcard.
The video for the project will debut at 6pm GMT.
