Rebecca Ferguson delivers a slice of dancefloor-orientated soul music on new single No Words Needed. The track, a collaboration with CHIC mastermind Nile Rodgers, sees Rebecca’s soulful vocals take centre-stage against anthemic production.
The duo have been working on Rebecca’s fifth studio album – with No Words Needed thought to be the first taste of the upcoming LP. Nile notes “We just have an undeniable chemistry. Every time we get together it feels like something special happens.” This follows previous collaboration Nothing Left But Family.
Rebecca sounds as gorgeous as ever bringing her soulful vocal character to the fold. She states “Working with Nile never gets old, I’m still in awe of his talent. ‘No Words Needed’ came together in a fit of creativity. I can’t wait to keep working with him.”
We’re eager to hear what other magic the pair have been cooking up, with Rebecca hoping to tour the new music when COVID restrictions are eased in the UK.
