Elusive Musical Icon Amanda Lear Returns With New Single ‘More’

Enigmatic disco queen Amanda Lear returns with her first new music since her 2016 album Let Me Entertain You. The French pop favourite releases single More with several remixes through her label Boomlover.

Amanda has been truly missed from the pop landscape with this being her longest absence since the five year gap between studio albums Heart and With Love between 2001 and 2006. Thankfully Amanda keeps fans satisfied by providing both an easy listening pop version of the song in the form of an original version and radio edit, as well as a remix, radio edit remix, and dub version. The Follow Me singer sounds divine on the lush, theatrical love song – highlight just how much her voice has been missed.

More (Theme from Mondo Cane) was originally written in 1962 and used in the Italian documentary of the same name – first recorded in Italian by artist Katyna Ranieri. Covers from Frank Sinatra and Bobby Darrin helped establish the track as a classic pop standard.

It is hoped that Amanda will soon follow this with new music and that this could potentially lead to the singer’s eighteenth studio album some point in 2021.
