The unmistakable vocals of Scottish musical talent Sharleen Spiteri adorn the elegant, peppy new single from iconic pop-rock act Texas. The track titled Hi has now been given the official single treatment after being released as a collaboration with Wu-Tang Clan last month. Hi will also serve as the title track for Texas’s upcoming new album of the same name set to drop later this year.
“I’m gonna take my time, On this road, I’ve gotta find a place, That we call home, I’ve gotta change your mind, Yeah before we get old,” Spiteri sings on the chorus of the immediately catchy, Angelica Bjornsson and John McElhone produced track. With gentle instrumentation and engaging vocal effects, the track is a simple and effective number that provides a stellar little earworm.
Whilst Texas’s official YouTube channel notes an April release for the upcoming album, their official store cites the 28th of May 2021. We can safely say expect the album this Spring at some point.
