Nate Rich X Delivers Queer Pop-Punk on Anthemic New Single ‘Text Me Back’

Powering with an unrepentant attitude and swagger, Nate Rich X blasts us into 2021 with new single Text Me Back. The New York City based singer-songwriter delivers empowered vocals, slick production, and a truly anthemic chorus on his freshly released bop.

Nate notes that he “always aim to capture the queer experience, from nights of passion to unrequited lust to aching heartbreak- and always in the form of a bop.” Text Me Back is no exception to this and Nate alongside his producer Guy John crafts a homage to classic early noughties pop-punk. Nate tells us a little more about the track:

“Punk pop spoke to me as a kid because it celebrated freaks and misfits, and I know that a lot of queer people in my generation can relate to that. The story of the track is simple: an electric crush and the eternity of waiting for that fateful reply.” Nate captures that buzz and excitement of waiting on that response from a crush in the early stages of chatting, dating or hooking-up through rollicking production and slick vocals. This is a hit through and through.
