RuPaul’s Drag Race UK may be launching full steam ahead with its second series this month, but the alumni from Series 1 are still flourishing – as seen in the latest slice of music dropped from one of its stars. Gothy Kendoll releases her debut single in collaboration with queer house DJ Forbid. The pair recruit Gothy’s fellow RPDRUK co-star Divina De Campo for the track.
The track, Switch, is a slice of Hi-NRG queer house music with Gothy delivering swagger and attitude against rapid house beats. With almost spoken word delivery from the drag star, Divina joins the party for a sultry guest verse around the halfway mark. The track manages to showcase Gothy’s unique persona as an artist and the production from Forbid compliments this wonderfully.
