Proving that tracks clocking in under two minutes can still deliver, pop newcomer Oscar DeLaughter drops his chipper second single Just Woke Up. The Dallas-born singer produces the track himself and releases the project independently. He packs the track with a sense of optimism and joyous energy, a necessary tonic for 2021.
Now residing into Los Angeles, Oscar notes: “Just Woke Up is about coming to grips with the reality of certain aspects in life but keeping hope that things will get better…I feel like things get easier when you’ve accepted what they are… I refer to summer because summer is a time when we plan on doing all the things you’ve wanted to do all year… but unfortunately it doesn’t always work out. This past summer i think everyone had a taste of that more than ever considering the state our world was in.“
The track follows Oscar’s debut single Broken Heart Conversation – which went on to hit near 25k streams on Spotify – something the freshly released Just Woke Up is on track to surpass at the moment. You can connect with Oscar on Instagram.
