Eurovision France: ‘C’est vous qui décidez!’ Reveals 12 Acts and Songs for National Selection

France TV announces their Eurovision France: C’est vous qui decidez! contestants all vying for selection as France’s entrant for the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest. We were heavy hearted at the news that Tom Leeb would not be returning to the contest due to scheduling commitments – although somewhat suspicious as it is clear his dual-language track The Best in Me was not a fan favourite.

Thankfully the selections are very good and it seems most of the tracks will officially drop on streaming services this Friday. A mix of groups and solo singers deliver a varied selection from ballads to bops which are all available to hear through this link. Unfortunately the videos are geoblocked for those outside France. See the full list of competitors below.

  • LMK – Magique
  • Ali – Paris Me Dit
  • Casanova – Tutti
  • Barbara Pravi – Voilà
  • Cephaz – On A Mangé Le Soleil
  • Amui – Maeva
  • Andriamad – Alléluia
  • Philippine – Bah Non
  • Juliette Moraine – Pourvu Qu’on M’Aime
  • 21 Juin Le Duo – Peux-Tu Me Dire?
  • Terence James – Je T’Emmènerai Danser
  • Pony X – Amour Fou

Eurovision’s official site noted: “Every evening from 16 December, France 2 will show a portrait of a participating artist during the prime time programme Eurovision France – les finalistes. In these portraits, the artists will present more information about their career as well as their song.”

During the selection programme the audience votes will count for 50% of the total score while the other 50% will be decided by a professional jury of 10 people.

Our immediate highlights of the crop were undoubtedly Casanova’s Tutti, Ali’s dancefloor eurodisco Paris Me Dit, and Terence James’ Je T’Emmènerai Danser.
