Samanta Tina and Markus Riva are no stranger to Eurovision Song Contest fans. Both are regulars on Latvia’s Supernova circuit, with Samanta being selected for the 2020 contest with her industrial dubstep anthem Still Breathing. Markus is fresh from releasing solo singles Tavos Vārdos and Vēl pēdējo reiz this year. The pair of close friends unite for Man Nesanāk – a duet which translates to English as I’m Falling.
With lyrics such as “I’m learning to be with myself, again without you, but I’m failing…” the track tackles the difficulties of love, where things always do not always work out the way that both lovers intentioned. Both singers shine against the anthemic production which feels rooted in nostalgic eighties-inspired synth packed musical backing with the strong timbre of Markus’s vocals complimented by the smooth gentle sound of Samanta.
Markus is thought to be dropping a new album in November, whilst Samanta gears herself up to represent Latvia at Eurovision 2021. Stream the Latvian pop favourites’ collaboration above. You can connect with Markus on his social channels below:
