Finnish Pop Sensation Robin Packalen Releases Temptation Filled Electronic Anthem ‘Drop Dead’

Finnish pop sensation Robin Packalen returns with a new sound in the form of Drop Dead – an all guns blazing electronic pop anthem filled with dark temptation and fiery energy. The track, Robin’s fourth English-language release follows his June released single Benefits and 2019’s Suit That and I’ll Be With You.

Robin notes: ”Drop Dead is about when instinct overcomes us and we lose control – whether it’s on the dancefloor, in lust or in life. It’s about the element of danger that lives in all of us and sometimes we just drop dead to the temptation,” and this is something channelled through the empowering synth-packed production, with a shimmering bassline and electrofunk grooves in producer Joonas Parkkonen’s melodies. Robin’s vocals are soulful yet enigmatic as he sings “You make me drop dead, on the floor, I lose all my self control, and I want it, yeah I want it,” capturing the song’s neon-lit temptations.

Robin has had incredible success in his native Finland with an excess of 380 million streams, five of his six studio albums hitting number one in the album charts, and winning four Finnish Grammys. It is unclear if Robin will be delivering an English studio album in the future, but we have his fingers crossed there will be one in the pipeline.
