Melbourne based rising star Just Shy released his track Consumed By a Beat last July, asserting as an exciting new queer talent. The track is a slinky electronic anthem with the singer’s vocals cruising on a synth-infused melody.
There are echoes of classic late-2000s pop as Just Shy croons “I’m just a body consumed by a beat, a body consumed by a beat” on the frivolity filled pop delight. The new remix from Culture Fix favourite PRODUCT (available to buy on BandCamp) adds a further sharp synthy energy that helps inject a further moody appeal to Consumed By a Beat, whilst helping draw added focus to Just Shy’s dreamy vocals.
