The Trailer for Sofia Coppola’s ‘On the Rocks’ Starring Rashida Jones & Bill Murray Debuts

Sofia Coppola last delighted us with 2017’s The Beguiled – a moody Southern Gothic melodrama – but thankfully her return is imminent with the October scheduled On the Rocks. The project sees her reunite with Bill Murray following previous collaborations Lost in Translation and A Very Murray Christmas. The project, which sees Coppola collaborate with A24 and Apple TV, also stars Rashida Jones, Marlon Wayans, and Jenny Slate. Read the official synopsis below:

Faced with sudden doubts about her marriage, a young New York mother and writer (Rashida Jones) teams up with her larger-than-life playboy father (Bill Murray) to tail her husband (Marlon Wayans) in a bittersweet comedy about relationships, written and directed by Sofia Coppola.

We’re excited to see Coppola and Murray reunited for a narrative feature after the incredible Lost in Translation and On the Rocks looks like a wonderful showcase for both their talents. Murray’s recent credits include Isle of Dogs and Jim Jarmusch zombie comedy The Dead Don’t Die, whilst Jones has recently been leading Netflix’s #BlackAF.
