Katrina Leskanich of iconic pop band Katrina and the Waves has unveiled that we will soon be enjoying new music from her. A brand new studio album, titled Hearts, Loves & Babys, will be arriving August 28th, preceded by its lead single Drive, due July 24th. The single will premiere on Ken Bruce’s BBC Radio 2 Show on that date.
This is exciting news for fans of the UK’s most recent Eurovision winner as it marks her first studio album since 2014. With The Waves, Katrina released an impressive ten studio albums – not to mention still iconic singles Walking On Sunshine, Love Shine a Light, Sun Street, and Is That It. After the group disbanded, Katrina would go on to release 2004’s Turn the Tide and 2014’s Blisland. Her most recent musical release was a version of classic standard I Can’t Give You Anything but Love in 2018.
We’re massively excited for new music from Katrina, who has always been a charismatic vocalist and entertainer. You can now hear a preview of lead single Drive below.
