Boy! It feels completely surreal to be writing this, but Phantasm V is well and truly on it’s way. Yes after years of rumours and setbacks on the fifth instalment of the cult horror series, it is a delight to see that it has finally been shot – and by the looks of things will be arriving pretty soon.
Whilst details are thin on the ground (this only came to light yesterday with the arrival of the film’s poster – see below), we do know that series creator Don Coscarelli is not directing and has passed on duties to David Hartman who has co-written the script with Coscarelli. Reggie Bannister, Michael Baldwin and Angus Scrimm all return to their iconic roles.
The teaser gives us a glimpse at these deadly silver spheres, the grubby goblins, and the traditional eerie mausoleum setting. However, our excitement levels were shot into overdrive at the first glimpse of Angus Scrimm’s Tall Man. We cannot wait.
More details on Phantasm V: Ravager as they come.
