Charles Band’s Puppet Master series gets its twelve official entry with Blade: The Iron Cross – a spin-off centred on the hook handed puppet. Picking up after the events of Puppet Master: Axis Termination, it seems like Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich – the S. Craig Zahler penned reboot will be skipped in terms of chronology. The official synopsis for the John Lechago directed film notes:
“Charles Band’s iconic PUPPET MASTER series continues in this 12th official entry as Dr. Hauser, the Third Reich’s maddest scientist, rises again with murder and mayhem on his mind. As the deranged Nazi doctor’s perverse plot is revealed, psychic journalist Elisa Ivanov awakens her own angel of death in Blade and together, maiden and marionette get set to hammer the evil Hauser back into hell where he belongs.“
Blade: The Iron Cross looks like another somewhat modest budget production that looks big on B-Movie antics, outlandish gore, and gruesome horror-comedy.
Blade: The Iron Cross is released June 26th.
