Ahead of his appearance on RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, Ricky Martin has surprise released his brand new Spanish language EP, titled Pausa. The six song collection marks the Puerto Rican singer’s first body of work since his most recent studio album 2015’s A Quien Quiera Escuchar.
Preceded by the singles Tiburones and Cántalo (with Residente and Bad Bunny), the EP is inspired by Ricky’s recent struggles with anxiety with the singer noting: “I spent two weeks with a poker face so my family wouldn’t be affected, but finally I was able to raise my head and say ‘eh, something very good has to come out of this, get creative.’ And I started making music and it was my medicine, honestly, because I really felt like I was gasping for air.”
Pausa also features collaborations with Sting, Carla Morrison, Diego El Cigala and Pedro Capó. It is available to stream now. Check out the tracklist below:
- Simple ft. Sting
- Recuerdo ft. Carlos Morrison
- Cae de Una ft. Pedro Capó
- Quiéreme ft. Diego El Cigala
- Tiburones
- Cántalo ft. Residente & Bad Bunny
