Scott Eastwood Leads ‘The Outpost’

Scott Eastwood has been absent from our screens since 2018’s Pacific Rim sequel and vehicular themed action film Overdrive, however, the handsome star is soon to return in upcoming war feature, The Outpost. Joined by Caleb Landry Jones and Orlando Bloom, the Rod Lurie directed film sees a small team of U.S. soldiers battle against hundreds of Taliban fighters in Afghanistan. Check out the official synopsis below.

“Based on true events, in this military thriller, a small unit of U.S. soldiers, alone at the remote Combat Outpost Keating, located deep in the valley of three mountains in Afghanistan, battles to defend against an overwhelming force of Taliban fighters in a coordinated attack. The Battle of Kamdesh, as it was known, was the bloodiest American engagement of the Afghan War in 2009 and Bravo Troop 3-61 CAV became one of the most decorated units of the 19-year conflict.”

Eastwood sprung to prominence after his Town and Country shoot back in the mid-2010s, this seemed to give the actor’s profile something of a boost with roles in Texas Chainsaw 3D, Fury, The Longest Ride and Suicide Squad soon following. Strikingly similar good looks to his Hollywood icon father’s younger days also made Eastwood a very exciting rising talent.

The Outpost is due for an on demand (and potential limited theatrical) release on July 3rd.
