Swedish musical duo and Melfest stars The Lovers of Valdaro return with their first single of 2020 entitled Rhythm & Decibel. This follows their 2019 singles Faster to Nowhere and Somebody Wants.
Comprised of vocalist Erik Gabriel and the producer Adam Warhester, The Lovers of Valdaro provide raucous euphoric synthpop tapping into gleeful eighties nostalgia – yet the edge and swagger with which they fill their tracks screams 2020 swagger. Rhythm & Decibel has a soaring, hypnotic chorus, surrounded by slick electronic production complimented beautifully by Gabriel’s entrancing vocals. This is undoubtedly a musical highlight of the year for us.
The duo partook in Melodifestivalen 2019 with Somebody Wants which sadly never qualified in the third semi-final, beaten by Lina Hedlund’s camptastic Victorious. Stream the new track below.
