Kenny Chesney continues to give us a taste of his upcoming new album Here and Now. With three of the tracks previously released: Tip of My Tongue, Knowing You and Here and Now, Chesney adds new track Guys Named Captain into the mix.
With acoustic guitar and piano instrumentation, Guys Named Captain is a mellow snippet from Chesney’s new album. The singer notes that the track is a tribute to the free spirits of the world, stating Ernest Hemingway’s influence: “that whole idea of this man who’s lived his life on the water, and what sailing means, how they share it with others,” the singer reflects.
Here and Now was produced by produced by Chesney and Buddy Cannon, who previously worked with on the singer’s 2018’s Songs for the Saints. Check out the full tracklist of the new album:
