Those that enjoyed the fantastic NBC sitcom Good News are very well aware of the comic talents of Nicole Richie. Those that didn’t, shame on you, but fortunately now you have a new chance to see actress, singer and socialite’s comic chops in her own Quibi series Nikki Fre$h.
The series stars Richie as Nikki a socially conscious pop star making music for the masses (“Teachers, Rabbis, Virgos, but mostly moms and gays,”) alongside her inflated ego. She notes “I’m bringing a voice to our planet: plants, bees, interspecies,” in the wonderfully exaggerated trailer.
Evocative of wonderful comic yet tragic satires like The Comeback, Nikki Fre$h looks like a winner for Quibi. The streaming platform is also bringing high profile series Most Dangerous Game starring Christoph Waltz and Liam Hemsworth marking a big boost for their original programming.
