2014’s second Biblical epic (after Noah), Exodus: Gods and King sees Sir Ridley Scott take on the story of Moses and the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt.
Both posters and a trailer have debuted for the project which stars Christian Bale as Moses (back to his attractive self after American Hustle) and Joel Edgerton as Rhames (who looks like he has been auditioning for RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 7). Aaron Paul, Sigourney Weaver, Ben Kingsley and John Turturro are also on board for Exodus, which is based on a screenplay from Scott’s regular collaborator Steven Zaillian.
We’re looking forward to seeing a gritty take on the Plagues of Egypt and from the trailer it appears that Scott delivers them in an aesthetically rich grandeur.
Exodus: Gods and Kings hits cinemas on December 12 (USA) and December 26 (UK).
