Orville Peck became a fascination of ours back when he released his debut album Pony back in March last year. He’s proven himself as an enigmatic performer thanks to his masked aesthetics, a distinctively original vocalist, and a proud queer artist. It also helps that we just know he’s beautiful under the mask. Orville adds fuel to our romantic fire with his latest track, Summertime, the first taste of new music since the release of his debut album.
Paired with a magnificent video from Drew Kirsch & Taylor Fauntleroy that evokes a Americana folk horror vibes, Summertime is a mellow emotive country number allowing the singer’s powerful vocals to hammer home as he croons about lost Summertimes.
It’s presumed that Summertime is the first taste of Peck’s massively anticipated sophomore album. You can hear the track above.
